My name is Surya  studying  in 5th std belong to Mavanalla  my parents are Mr. Raju age about 41 who is a daily labor, my mother name is Mrs. Devi who  is about 35 years age who is an  house wife. Surya was suffering from skin diseases and scabies which she got from drinking unsafe water which she got it from water holes which were dug to fetch water for cooking and domestic use. Animals also urinate so that the other animals do not drink. That treatment was given to her locally on own preparation this did not help her to cure and she  become  a regular school dropout child. MYWA supported teacher identified that the child was missing in the class regularly so she went to the child house and talk to the child regarding are long absent to the school, then the parents told the teacher that she is not attending  she is attending because she having  scabies and skin problem. The teacher brought to the notice of MYWA . The staff discussed with the parents about the  treatment  and took the child to local primary health centre which is at Masinagudi. The Doctor made a thorough check up and advised the parents and MYWA to take the patients to Ooty Government hospital the parents took her there and got treatment the same day. She was also given medicine to apply at home for three month every day. The MYWA staff also visited the family for 3 the months. MYWA continued to support the family for 3 more. The girl recovered and is happily go school parents thanked MYWA.
