My name is Sasikala age 12 years studying in 7th. Standard had discontinued my studies in 6th standard because parents did not want her to study but accompany them when ever going to Grandfather house, this repeatedly happened so she was irregular and drop out to school. Since MYWA staff often visit the school they found me missing and asked the teacher about my whereabouts, the teacher informed them that I was irregular to school and even parents did not want to send. The staff discussed about the importance of education with the parents and the girl child regularly during their visits, this motivated the girl to go to school. The parents seeing the girls interest in studying also encouraged her to attend schooling, right know the girl is studying 7st standard and regular in attending schooling the teachers are also very happy and thank MYWA.
My name is Masini age 12 years studying in 7th. Standard was not going to school because I was suffering from Diabetics since 3 years, I used to be irregular and discontinued my studies and stayed home. Since MYWA staff often visit the school they found me missing and asked the teacher about my whereabouts, the teacher informed them that I was irregular to school as she was suffering from fever for the past 3 years. Then the staff visited the house were the child belonged and enquired the family members about the health condition of child, the family members told about me, they also approached me and enquired about my health condition and education, then I told them that I have discontinued my schooling because of my health, the staff was very upset and said that well he will approach the office and he will inform them about taking her to a hospital for further treatment and left.
After reaching the office he informed higher ups about the plight of the girl and her parents to the higher-ups, they informed him to take her to a doctor and have a through checkup and find out the cost to be incurred and inform them. The staff took the girl along with her parents to a district hospital and got her medically examined and confirmed that she is suffering from diabetic and got the treatment and medicine which she has to take regularly every-day. The girl, parents and the staff tanked the doctor for the treatment that he has provided and left to the village. The girl is very happy right know and even her parents too, thank the staff, MYWA for the support that they have provided and helped the child in attending schooling. Know the child is very regular in attending her schooling and at present
