HEALTH

Health for all by 2030 is ensured by providing preventive and curative healthcare. Community level training, support PHC by giving them training, identifying cases for major treatment such as BP, diabetes, eye and heart operation and referral cases to hospitals which are located in major cities.

We also conduct health camp in schools for children. Community health camp is also conducted at village level. The patients who attend the camp are given good medicines. Often, a one day health camp is also conducted for community to educate them on water born diseases, avoid open defecation for which about 200-300 people attended. This will be carried out even in the future to the community and children.

In  village area, Community lacks awareness and do not have opportunities to  drink safe drinking water .Due to which they suffer from water borne and other related diseases for which they have to spend more money to see doctor for which they cannot afford to spend since they have to do day labor work and run the family. We conduct Health awareness program in the villages and school on cleanliness and hygiene as to how keep surrounding clean and health and avoid open defection, cleaning of drain, collection of waste water and avoid mosquitoes. Drinking of safe drinking water in clean tumbler and mug and keep the water closed with proper lid. The food grains which the community consume should also being of good quality otherwise it will also affect the growth of the body. Vegetables should also being consumed by children and women regularly otherwise the body will become weak. These classes were conducted in all the village and school were training was provided .We see improvement in this.

AMBULANCE

Anneakatti, Siriyur and Chokkanahally had no proper bus facility during those days people used to find lot of difficulty to travel  they used bullock cart as a means of transport but this could only be affordable to people who could be able to pay,  the poor either have to walk or stay at home. This led to lot of suffering on health specially women and children, so community of all the 3 village did not know what to do, one fine day they decided that they have to do something to come with the problem so they decided to approach MYWA to find some alternative to get rid of the problem. MYWA suggested them to run a Ambulance to the village, but the community did not have the money to pay, then it was suggested that MYWA will run the ambulance but they have to pay the cost of fuel and drivers salary still the community did not agree and went back to the village started discussing the issue and came back with suggestion to ask MYWA to bear the cost of running the ambulance and driver salary we will pay the hiring charges. MYWA felt very happy about this and ambulance was brought and started to run every alternative days in 3 villages. The community thanked MYWA for the support. This was running regularly as days went by the people started to approach the Local PHC for the support and in the mean time the ambulance also stopped running because of cost in fuel. The community had also access to PHC so the ambulance was withdrawn and now the Government is running.
